The seventh tournament of the LURPS calendar was held at FAB Cafe on Tuesday 3rd May.
11 competitors entered tonights event, knowing the league was still open for anyone of them to win.
Regular Tournament
1st Prize – Kite, Badminton Set, Puzzle, Key-Shaped Doorstop, Scottish Shortbread, Pringles, DVD.
2nd Prize – Key-Shaped Doorstop, Scottish Shortbread, Pringles, DVD.
3rd Prize – Some cheap ass rice (Darlo ran out of noodles).
At the end of round one, nine players still had tokens remaining. The remaining competitors were Darlo (23), Tom (18), Ai (14), Hannah (13), Alex (12), Shez (9), Yurie (9), Kanako (7), Ikumi (5). Shez then played Yurie to determine who would go higher, with Shez winning. Players who unfortunately ran out of tokens were (in order who went out first) Kosuke and Shunsuke.

SPRock 7 Tournament
The top seven competitors based on round ones ticket count made up The Panel. Members of this group stood to win a Garden Gnome and an Artists Mannequin if they could win seven matches in a row. The prize for a non-panel member stopping the run was a Daddy’s Girl Wallet. The left over prize would be given away in an all-versus-Darlo tournament (like how the Simpsons Egg was given away in March). As the highest scoring panel members, Darlo and Tom were given the first chance to win.

Super Special Garden Gnome and Artists Mannequin Tournament
In the last-man-standing tournament where everyone plays against Darlo (where you could stay in by either drawing or winning), the prizes of a Garden Gnome and Artists Mannequin were given away. Today the prizes went to Ikumi, who despite surviving round one didn’t have enough tokens to progress to the quarter finals, but did win the SPROCK tournament, becoming the first player to win two tournaments in one day.
So huge congratulations to all of tonights winners, and thank you all for participating. The league is now heating up, with just one tournament left to go. Tom has taken a huge league lead and has guaranteed himself a space in the top three. Though for the remaining two trophy positions, currently anyone with 6 points or more has the potential to win a trophy!
The final tournament will be happening on the 7th June, so we look forward to seeing you then.
